Specimen Requirements

Whole Blood EDTA

 

Container/Tube: Lavender top (EDTA)

Specimen Volume: 3 mL 

      Minimum Volume: 2 mL

 

Collection Instructions:

    1. Draw blood immediately before a shceduled dose. (Note Date and time of last dose)

    2. DO NOT centrifuge

    3. Send specimen in original tube refrigerated or on ice if not delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours.

 

Additional Information:

Therapeutic range applies to trough specimens drawn immediately prior to next dose.
